Honda CBR 125

The Honda CBR 125 that I own is a 2008 and I have to tell you it is a fun bike. I also own a 900 CBR that has a hella lot more power, but I still take the 125 out just for kicks. The CBR 125 is light, nimble, easy to ride, and hardly uses any fuel. I can fill the tank with premium gas for six bucks. The Honda CBR 125 is not a racer, but it zips around in town or own the highway. It is a little on the under powered side, as would be expected from such a small bike. On the highway 100 K is where this bike is happiest, anything more than that and you will need to be going downhill with a tailwind. On hills it slows down, it does not have the power to race up a hill like I can on my 900. Overall this is a great bike. I call it a step up from a scooter, but you will look alot cooler on it. My girlfriend loves this bike, it is just her size and power. For a big guy like myself I will stick to the 900 Fireblade.

I almost forgot to mention the price.  The Honda CBR 125 is cheap! for $3,500 bucks you can buy this bike brand new and if you are lucky honda might even throw in $500 worth of free gear.  I got a new helment,  (with built in speakers),  a motorcycle jacket, and wicked gloves - all for FREE!

The CBR 125 are cool little bikes.  They also don't look like they are only 125 cc's.  Lets say you have never ridden a bike before and intelligently decide you don't want to kill yourself on a over powered race machine.  For beginners the 125 is the ultimate bike.  You won't look like a nerd on a little putt putt.  Most people who don't know bikes have no idea that this bike only costs $3,500.  

If you do get a 125 as a starter bike beware that you will likely out grow it quickly.  After you are comfortable you will realize its downfalls.  It doesn't perform well over 100 K and it doesn't like hills very much.

On the upside it is incredibly fun to ride and basically uses no fuel.  Expect to enjoy yourself and save mondo cash.

All things considered I think the Honda CBR 125 is an awesome bike.  It won't satisfy your need for speed but let me put it this way; if you are trying to decide between a scooter and a motorbike the choice is easy.  You can look like a freak on a scooter or be cool and ride a bike and stay in the same price range.

I picked up a magazine in the doctors office the other day and there was an article on CBR 125 races.  It looked like a lot of fun.  It was mostly kids but adults raced too.  

I can drive a car like I am a race car driver but on a motorbike I am way more conservative.  But I can see myself going all out on the race track on a CBR 125.  I just feel way more confident on a little bike like that.  After all what is the worst that could happen?

I don't know where this race track is but this is something I could get into.  I think that it would be awesome to have CBR  125 racing where I live.  Put it next to the skate park and see which one would be more popular.

I love bikes but I cannot decide what kind I like the most. Some people are die hard harley fans, other adore crotch rockets. Myself I love em all! I can just see me building a collection of bikes. Every time I see a bike for sale I want to buy it. I love crotch rockets but damn is there anything cooler than a chopper? Then there is Harley Davidson. A Harley has an aura that I cannot resist. So what to do? If I buy a bike I cannot bare to sell the bike I had before it. So now I am in the process of establishing a motorcycle harem. I think the only solution to the dilemma is to keep collecting and then opening up a motorcycle car lot. Then I can buy and sell and fulfill my primal desire to be surrounded by the objects of beauty.

What do you figure?  Crotch Rocket or Harley ?
