How To Get Your Hubs Flagged
63What Not To Do With Your Hubpages
After getting a couple of my hubpages flagged I decided to create this hub to show you what not to do:
Many times it has happened that hubs that have been live on hubpages for a considerably long period of time get flagged just like that. The reason for such a behavior and flagging of hubs is that many experienced hub authors are not really clear with the terms and conditions of hubpages. There are a number of way in which you can get your hubs flagged and being aware of the conditions laid down by hubpages is elementary to prevent a hub from being flagged.
It is therefore very important to learn content guidelines and rules and in this write up, we touch upon some of the important ones.
Do not spam:
Hubpages has a strict policy towards spam. Anything that is deemed as spam is bound to be spammed sooner or later. Even if you are promoting another business or site, your hub should not be only promotional in nature but it should be informative and helpful as well. Promotion of other businesses is fine as long as it is helpful and in line with the objectives of the hub.
No Adult Policy and no gambling related content:
Your content should not be adult in nature, not contain nudity or obscene images and there should be no links to adult sites or porn sites. Doing so will easily land your hub into being flagged. Besides, if you happen to promote gambling or online casinos in your hub, it stands liable to be flagged.
English Only:
The content on your hub should be written in English only. There can be quotes/one-liners in other languages, but the majority of the text in your hub should be English. If the majority of text on your hub is some language other than English, then chances of your hub getting flagged increase manifold.
Hubs should be complete:
If you have written a hub that is incomplete in any respect or lacks proper information, it is bound to get flagged. There should be nothing like a “test” hub published. Getting a hub flagged for such reasons might have negative repercussions on your hubpages profile in general.
No plagiarism and no deception:
Hubpages have a strict policy against duplicate content and plagiarism is one of the easiest ways of getting your hub flagged. Another reason as to why your hub might be flagged is by way of using deceptive names and links in your hub. For instance, if you hub uses a misleading name in the hyperlink to point to a website that has nothing to do with the core objectives of the hub, it might land you up in a spot of bother.
External Links
Link to a website more than once. You might be able to get away with linking to a site twice, but definitely no more than that.
