Ducati Motorcycle History
Ducati is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer that produces some really wicked bikes. Like Honda Motorcycles as well as Harley Davidson Motorcycles Ducati's humble beginnings began with a motor created for bicycles. This motor called the "Cuccilo" which is Italian for puppy was developed by Aldo Farinelli and in 1944 he offered them for sale. Business owners would sell bikes with the Cuccilo and this was when Ducati got in on the action. It was 1950 and Ducati had partnered up with the manufacturer of the Cuccilo and began selling motorized bikes. From there the bicycles got bigger and became motorscooters and then by 1960 Ducati produced the fastest 250 cc motorcycle of the time. In 1970 Ducati had built a larger L-twin motor ( Think V-twin, but on an angle). Now days Ducati is famous for manufacturing sleek, fast and sexy race bikes.

The Ducati Street Fighter
When you see the Ducati Street Fighter for the first time you just have to stop and check it out. How could you not appreciate the styling of this bike? Its freakin awesome. Sporting a L-twin cylinder with four valves per cylinder destromromic liquid cooled 1099 c.c. engine it rocks out with155 horse - 114kw @ 9500rpm. This baby has 85lb-ft 115Nm @ 9500rpm torque. It only weighs 167 kg so you will be flying, poppin wheelies, and burning rubber. In a word - BAD!

The Ducati Street Fighter Is Hot!
As the Ducati Street Fighter Flys pass you on the highway the huge monster like shotgun exhaust and rad frame are two features that you are not likely to miss. On this bike with race gear all you need is a cape and you might as well be superman!
How Much Is The Ducati Street Fighter ?
The Ducati Street Fighter price is fifteen grand which is quite the price tag. Compare that to the Buell 1125CR which is only $11,695. A Buell is a better value but I am partial to the look of the Ducati Street Fighter. Actually I think the the Buell 1125CR looks like a Honda CBR and does not even come close to the styling of the Ducati Street Fighter. Of course there are all the standard features including ventilation and exhaust ports. Shoei uses high performance fiber materials combined with extremely elastic organic fibers so the helments only weighs 3.24 lbs /1470 grams, so it is very light which will minimize rider fatigue. Top all that off with cool graphics and you have a top of the line shoei helment that your friends will envy.
